3D Laser Cutting

Utilizing 4,000-watt fiber and CO2 lasers, thin to thick walled tube, pipe and structural steel are sculpted to your specification in one cycle. Six-axis cutting creates an angle or arch which dramatically reduces manual and multiple processing. Through automatic loading, feeding, cutting, tapping and unloading, weld assembly parts are efficiently produced with the consistency and accuracy required for robotic welding.

3D Plasma Cutting

Our plasma cutting system is revolutionizing structural steel fabricating. We can help you improve your quality, costs, shop efficiencies and lead-times. It’s the marriage of advanced CNC robotics with high-definition plasma cutting, equipped with software so sophisticated, it programs cuts by itself. We can provide copes, slots, miters, bolt holes, notches, flush cuts, piece marks and layout marks and in one process. Many of these processes would typically need to be done with multiple single-purpose machines or even by hand. With our processing, you’ll receive high quality parts with quick turnaround at an affordable costs.

Flat Laser Cutting

With an automated material handling system, up to 20-ton overhead crane capacity and an 80’ bed, we are capable of laser cutting small intricate pieces as well as large oversized parts which require accuracy. We can provide uniform parts that meet the tightest of tolerances required by precision manufacturers. Our 6,000 and 4,000-watt resonators and laser referencing allow plate cutting up to 1” thick plate.

Plate Processing

Our heavy-duty plate processing machine combines plasma or oxy fuel cutting with milling, drilling, tapping, and scribing to finish parts in one set up. Precision parts produced efficiently, with high quality and at reduced costs.

Bending

With multiple press brakes, sheets & plates are quickly and efficiently formed to the tightest tolerances. West Central Steel’s press brakes feature programmable ram positioning and automatic crown adjustment for the greatest control, accuracy and consistency. We have one of the largest press brakes in the region, capable of bending as long as 28.9’ long at 1” thick. Precision Sawing

Capable of reliably meeting tolerances as tight as +/- 0.003” Precision Sawing can be used to cut spacers, shafts, pins, machining blanks or any number of different parts. With automated loading and feeding systems it is also an efficient way to cut precision parts out of rounds, tubes, pipes, channels and angles.

High Def Plasma/Oxy Cutting

Plasma cutting is one of the most efficient and productive methods for manufacturers who want to provide their customers with high quality results. Laser referencing enables profiles and bevels to be cut to the tight tolerances manufacturers have come to expect. With over-sized tables, our cutting systems allow for high definition plasma as well as oxy fuel cutting on the largest of parts. The 400-Amp rated systems with TrueHole technology and beveling capabilities deliver high quality results.
